Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. The weather has been lovely all week (again!) and we loved getting out for some family time this weekend. Each week I start off by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Monday mindfulness – 5 Happy Things
We managed to fit a lot into last week. My daughter had her first school trip to the seaside. It was a very long day for the Year 1’s but my daughter came leaping off the coach as though she’d only just got on it.
I persuaded my husband to take a day off from work so we could spend a day in London together. Out first stop was the Orla Kiely exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum, followed by lunch from Borough Market and a cheeky drink at Borough Market. I really love this part of London so it was fun to re-visit some favourite old haunts.
We’ve been sent some lovely games recently which we’ve enjoyed reviewing. These include Flags of the World and Googly Eyes. My daughter also received one of the new Sweet Pups toys which she just adores.
I was totally spoilt last week as my husband took me out to lunch to celebrate my new job! Yes, I can’t quite believe I’m going back to the world of work after being a stay at home mum for the last 8 years. I start a week today so I’m excited for a new challenge for all of us.
The weekend was a bit of a whirlwind with a BBQ with the Scouts, another BBQ with friends and a trip to Paradise Wildlife Park yesterday. We’re all beginning to long for some rain as the wall to wall sunshine is so unexpected. We have Sports Day this week so perhaps it will rain!
Have a great week everyone!
