Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I love starting off each week by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week.
Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things
I led a session at Beavers. I didn’t have long to prepare but I organised some Easter activities which everyone seemed to enjoy. Our weekly session was followed by my first Training session where I learned a surprising amount about the Scout organisation. I also attended the Appointments Evening and I’m hoping to hear there was a positive outcome sometime this week and I will be a new Section Assistant.
We’ve been working on our garden. On Thursday we had a huge tree removed which I was pretty sad to see come down. However our garden is so much lighter and we’ve slightly raised the height of our fence to give us some more privacy. Now we just need the sun to come out so we can spend more time outside enjoying it.
It’s 10 years since we got engaged! My mum babysat so we could go out on our own for once. We finally got to visit the Rose & Crown in Rickmansworth. We had a really lovely meal including these delicious scotch eggs with HP gravy.
We currently have a house full of guests for Easter. The children were so excited to finish school for the Easter holidays and see everyone. So far we’ve been hiding painted rocks at Eastcote Gardens, made unboxing videos, re-built all my son’s Minecraft Lego sets and had lots of Easter egg hunts. I’ve had time for grown up crafting too, making a cute Easter themed paper cut.
We have some exciting plans for this week including a trip to see Disney on Ice at the Wembley SSE Arena. My children were sent some new tshirts from the Disney Store which are perfect to wear there. I can’t wait to tell you more about it!
Have a great week – and don’t eat too much chocolate!
