Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I love starting off each week by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week.
Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things
We had a really busy weekend. There was so much going on which was fun, but a little hectic. I love Spring – the clocks have gone forward and there’s more daylight. The kids can’t wait to play outside after school, especially since we let them clean the trampoline. We’ve been planning some work on the garden and it feels so good to put washing out and have the back doors open.
It was my birthday on Wednesday. It passed by in a bit of a blur as my 6 year old was off school sick. We had planned a day of shopping to pick up things for my son’s birthday party, so she just had to come along with us. It was a busy day but I loved opening my gifts, especially my beautiful Orla Kiely ceramic plant pot featuring my favourite stem print.
Both my children went on a sleepover with their Beaver group on Friday night. They were both so excited to go and spent ages going through their kit list. They didn’t get much sleep but they had a lot of fun and got badges for their uniform (which are already sewn on!).
On Saturday I sang in an Easter concert with my choir. I love Easter choral music and we sang some lovely music including Panis Angelicus by Saint Saens, Cantique de Jean Racine by Faure, God So Loved The World by Stainer and Messiah Part II by Handel. There was a great turn out and everything went really well. We have a few weeks breaks until we start rehearsing for our Summer concert. Where is this year going?!
Yesterday was my son’s Minecraft birthday party. He was pretty excited about his party and has been planning it with me for weeks! It was only 2.5 hours long and we didn’t manage to fit in all the things he wanted to do. Luckily the weather was warmish so he and his friends were able to spend a lot of time outside. We built a Nerf target which was very popular and the trampoline got a lot of use too.
I wish we had a quieter week but I have a training course to become a Section Leader at Beavers, an interview with Beavers and my mum is coming to stay on Thursday. I have a messy house to clean so things may be a little quiet on my blog.
Have a great week!

March 26, 2018 at 10:16 amYou’ve packed so much into the week. I’m really looking forward to the lighter evenings so that the children can play outdoors more after school.
