Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 408}

The Obliteration Room at Tate Modern

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 408}

The second week of the school holidays has flown by. The kids have been busy and we’ve juggled work with a few fun days. They have been to the climbing and bouldering centre as well as a a long bike ride.

We had a great day out in London. We were invited to go and watch Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors, so we enjoyed a trip on the Elizabeth Line, a visit to an Amazon Fresh Store, a walk along the Thames foreshore, as well as The Obliteration Room at Tate Modern to put some stickers on the walls of the rooms.

I finally finished reading The Two Mrs Abbotts by D E Stevenson. It was the third in the series and I loved reading it. This was book 17 of the 48 I wanted to read this year in my Goodreads Challenge. I’m currently reading Femina: A New History of the Middle Ages, Through the Women Written Out of It by Janina Ramirez.

felt pincushion

There has been a little time for stitching and I made a sweet felt pincushion to add to my collection. I’m still trying to decide what to make next, although I picked up a hoop from my wip pile over the weekend.

We went blackberry picking as they are out where we live. We filled two big boxes and have put them in the freezer for now. The weather is so warm that I don’t feel like baking anything, although I know that will change as soon as the weather changes!

    That sounds like a great week and brilliant you’ve managed to juggle work with fun activities too! The Amazon Fresh store sounds great, it’s on my list for when we next visit London. I love the idea of Horrible Histories too!
