Monday Happy List

Monday Happy Things {Week 386}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy Things {Week 386}

Last week felt quite busy with Pancake Day, St David’s Day and World Book Day. My children seemed to need lots of different things to help celebrate these days at school last week! I’m so happy that school is fun for them again. They enjoyed a theatre group visit, a Viking Day and a practical cookery lesson at school. My son also went away with Scouts for the weekend on a canal boat!

The news has been so terrible recently that I’ve wanted something totally different to take my mind from it. I binge watched Reacher and The Tindler Swindler, both of which were really good. This week I’m hoping to finish Inventing Anna and the Witcher.

We received some great books to review recently, one was a book which both my children have been reading. Not Your Average Maths Book is all about numbers and their history, bringing maths to life with relatable examples drawn from everyday life.

I treated myself to a copy of Sisters Gonna Stitch by Cotton Clara as I love subscribing to the monthly Hoop Club boxes. The book contains 50 designs and I would love to stitch a few of them.

Winter Craftpod box

I completed the starry night owl embroidery from the Winter Craftpod subscription box (another subscription box I can’t resist!). There were two owl projects in the box and I enjoyed them both. I took the finished hoop on our walk to the woods over the weekend.

Have a great week!

    Your embroidery looks great – well done! We’ve watched the Tinder Swindler also. What a fascinating story – those poor women.
