I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Last week felt pretty long after an epic Easter holidays so we had a quiet-ish week.
Five Happy Things {Week 238}
I made sure I spent some time finishing my Rebels Get Results embroidery hoop from Cotton Clara and Rebecca Strickson. It was a gift from my husband for Mother’s Day and I’m so proud that I finished it so quickly! I’m a terrible procrastinator but I really enjoyed this project. The fabric was pre-printed so it was pretty straight-forward to follow the lines with a back stitch.
On Saturday we took part in the Spiderman Into The Spider-Verse viewing party thanks to @sonypicsathome. They sent us a wonderful box of products and the children enjoyed going through the items as we watched the film. We love the film, and all the different Spider people – especially Spider-Ham! We’re giving away a copy of the DVD so pop on over to this post to find out more.
When we popped into our local toy shop at the weekend we spotted the latest Lego Minifigs Disney Series 2. We loved Series 1 and managed to collect them all a few years ago. We bought 4 blind bags and were pretty pleased with the ones we opened – Vintage Minnie, Edna, Hercules and Jasmine. We all have our favourites so I expect we’ll be picking up a few more bags next time we visit.
Yesterday we took part in our local St George’s Day parade as my daughter is a Beaver and my son a Cub. They also got to wear their uniforms to school last Monday and were very proud to show off all their badges.
It seems the bluebells have been out for a while in our local woods. We went for a lovely walk in the woods and the children played in the dens and climbed trees. We’re so lucky to have the woods on our doorstep, we really need to make an effort to get outside more often.
