Last week was busy and just a little exhausting. The weather was super hot and I went into London twice for Press events. I also sang in our choirs Summer concert, so I felt like a sticky mess most of the week.
I went into London for the Hobbycraft AW17 press show at Make Drink and Do, as well as the Tesco and dotcomgiftshop Christmas press shows. They were all interesting and I’m so excited about some of the new ranges coming out later this year. Being in London meant I could wander along the South Bank and generally enjoy being in London without my children constantly needing a drink or loo break!
I had a few big blog posts to collaborate on but also made time for some crafting and creativity. I started the Papercut book from the latest issue of Mollie Makes and have hung some of the papercuts around the house.
Although some of our after school clubs have been winding down both my children had their karate grading on Wednesday. It was super hot but they both did well. We should find out if they passed this week.
I spent quite a lot of time searching eBay for some very cute vintage Sylvanian Families transfers. My 5 year old loves Sylvanian Families and I thought these would be a cute way to make some t-shirts for her. Some toy brands are so commercial but that doesn’t seem to be the case with Sylvanian Families which may be why it has lasted so long.
Over the weekend both the children signed up to the Summer Reading Challenge. We take part every year and basically they are rewarded for reading over the school holidays with collectible cards. They really enjoy it and I love to see them enjoying books.
Have a great week everyone!

July 10, 2017 at 12:52 pmMy Daughter is obsessed with Sylvanian families, which is a good thing really as I kept so many from my childhood. They’re definitely a long lasting brand.
