This week was a little crazy. After celebrating our son’s birthday over the weekend it was my turn to celebrate my birthday. So I started the week by going shopping with my husband and having a delicious lunch out. I really wanted to buy a pair of Saltwater sandals but I couldn’t find any, but I was happy with a browse in some of my favourite shops.
I spent my actual birthday with my 7 year old who was poorly. It wasn’t quite how I expected to spend my day but he was good company, despite being ill. He’s really run down at the moment so I can’t wait for the Easter holidays to start.
My daughter took part in her first assembly which was really sweet. She only had one line to say but she said it really loudly and joined in all the songs. I really love seeing my children in school.
I’ve been busy trying to sort my life out a little. I really want to find a job and last week I had a job interview and got another job application in. I’m really hoping my voluntary work will pay off and I will find something soon. My 5 year old really wants me to get a job so she can go to the after school club!
Our weekend was as busy as the week thanks to a trip to London yesterday. We finally ticked something off our list with our London Duck Tours adventure, which was followed by a trip to the Lego Store (for the kids) and the Orla Kiely shop (for me).
My husband bought me a gorgeous Mother’s Day gift from Orla Kiely so I’m sure he is glad my birthday and Mother’s Day is over for another year. I made my mum a sweet little Mother’s Day papercut which was a free pattern from Papercut Perfection. I received lots of new papercutting books for my birthday so I’m hoping to have some time for more of this soon.
