Monday Happy Things

It’s time for my favourite post of the week. I love looking back over the previous week, especially when it’s been such a good one.

We went to see the poppies at the Tower of London this morning. They were amazing and I’m glad we made the effort to see them before they are taken down.

This week I had my first interview in years, I even got offered the job! Unfortunately the hours just weren’t realistic around family life but it was nice to be offered a paying job even if it wasn’t the right time for me to accept. I’m beginning to wish I hadn’t spent years training for a specific career when it is so hard to get a job in that area.

To cheer myself up I have signed up to a silly number of festive swaps – eek. So far I have four things to make and send around the world, on top of my daughter’s 3rd birthday, and planning for Christmas.

On Saturday we had a mad play date and a house full. I have never seen so many of our toys strewn across the floor. We took our friends to the local Lido so the children could run off some of their energy.

We went to a brilliant firework display at the local school which the children loved. It was the first time we had been to a proper organised display and I was so glad they were happy to wrap up warm and enjoy it.
