It’s Monday and my 3 year old has a taster session at her new nursery this afternoon so time for a quick post – my weekly Monday happy things:
On Saturday we enjoyed our annual fun day out at Legoland. The weather was surprisingly hot, which was a good thing, and the children had a great time going on as many rides as we could squeeze in. We had taken their swimming costumes so they could play in Splash Safari in Duplo Valley and my 3 year old loved the new Heartlake City area.
We all quite liked the huge Taylor Swift portrait made from Lego – I blast Shake It Up when I need the children to get moving in the morning. There were a couple of purchases in the shop on the way out too, our 5 year old has his first Minecraft Lego set and I’m sure many more will be added to his Christmas list.
We’ve been visiting our local fairy house. We’re lucky to have 2 near our house and we finally visited the one by the woods. My 3 year old was so excited to see there was a little gift for her behind the fairy door so we’ve written a little thank you note to leave for the fairy today.
I bought a copy of Mollie Makes Christmas to make a head start on my Christmas crafting. I think I’ve decided to make the felt gingerbread house.
My 3 year old loves to bake so we finally got to make dinosaur biscuits from a recipe we ripped out of her Topsy and Tim magazine. She’s been wanting to make them for ages and the recipe has been staring at me daily as it was stuck on the fridge. She chose the dinosaur shape and they were pretty tasty.
