Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 338}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 338}

Although we were only back at school for 4 weeks we were all ready for the Easter holidays. We love Easter and enjoyed the preparations by making Easter Egg tiffin, Hot Cross Buns, Simnel Cake, as well as Easter gingerbread biscuits for an alternative Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Day.

It’s great having my husband around for the Bank Holidays as some jobs have built up around the home. We spent Friday building a wooden planter in the garden, tall enough to stop our dog from eating all our plants! With our new patio in place the garden is finally ready for Spring!

As well as baking Easter treats I’ve also been crafting some new decorations for Easter. I made a basket full of Liberty print fabric eggs and got my Cricut out to make new Easter treat bags for the kids to use on their Easter Egg Hunt. I’ve had some time to work on my Liberty kantha stitching (keeping those stitches even is so much harder than I thought!) and made a start on the cross stitch project in my Craftpod subscription box.

Haribo kindly gifted us some products from their Easter range including Haribo Chick ‘n’ Mix, Jelly Bunnies and Eggs Galore and lots of mini bags to keep the kids happy for weeks. I love the little treat bags as they are just the right size for placing in plastic eggs and hiding in the garden.

ceramic easter decorations

Yesterday we joined in with a socially distanced Easter street party and Egg Hunt which the kids loved. We seem to live on the best street and have enjoyed many covid-safe community events throughout the pandemic period. We popped down to the Ruislip Duck Pond Market and went on a treasure hunt to find ceramic decorations made by Little Willows, a local pottery studio.

Have a great week everyone!

    I am jealous that your garden is ready for spring/Summer, mine still needs to be done up in a few week’s time.

    My family loves Easter time too as we enjoy the chocolates, cakes and the knowledge that Spring has finally arrived and the last of the frost is leaving us for good. Glad you got time to do some crafting and baking as well.
