Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 337}

Ruislip Easter post box topper

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 337}

Last week we finally had our new patio put in. It seems a good few weeks ago that we took down the old playhouse and now we have a lovely, shiny new patio. Our garden furniture fits perfectly and we are all looking forward to some sunnier days so we can sit out in the garden and enjoy it.

We all love celebrating Easter and have been planning our crafting and cooking for Easter weekend. Last week we attempted dyeing eggs for Easter. It was a lot messier and smellier than I thought it would be. We ended up with a decent amount of dyed eggs though and it was fun to try it ourselves.

I squeezed in a lot of crafting last week. I signed up for an online Hobbycraft workshop (my first one!) called Easter made easy craft-along with Becki Clark. She showed us how to decorate ceramic shapes for Easter. It felt strange following along from home but I’m glad I did as I have really missed attending workshops since the pandemic started.

Embroidery is my latest passion and I stitched two hoops over the weekend, both from cotton Clara – Adventure Awaits and an NHS pattern. They were fun and easy to make and add to my hoop collection. I also dusted off my Cricut to make Easter pouches for the kids annual Easter egg hunt.

We enjoyed a lovely Spring walk at Eastcote House Gardens over the weekend. It’s a really great place for the kids and our pup and we spotted painted rocks and even a tiny birds egg (empty luckily). Easter themed post box toppers have appeared all over Ruislip so we enjoyed driving round and spotting them too.

Have a great week everyone.

    The postbox is so beautiful! What a clever thing to do.

    I love the eggs as well, we have had an egg competition at school today and some of the designs were amazing x

    Congratulations on your new patio! It is always a nice addition to a house. Lots of family bonding time and relaxing. We also have one but it does need some renovation work. Will be saving up for that project.

    Nice to hear the online crafting course went well, I’ve been pondering doing one too, but I’ll be so grateful when we can do workshops in real life again. Happy Easter. Mich x
