Half term has whizzed by. We didn’t seem to sit down at all which was good although I am feeling in need of a little holiday now! I’m so happy to be sitting down writing this, hot cup of tea by my side, listening to the hum of the washing machine. As much as I love my kids, I was happy to see them off to school this morning! Instead of my usual 5 favourite things from the previous week I thought I would write a recap of our half term adventures.
We started our week with a trip to the cinema to see Trolls. We all loved it and immediately bought the soundtrack so we could have the happy vibe of the film at home.
During the week we had day trips to Warwick Castle to see their special Halloween event, as well as another visit to KidZania to take part in a fun skateboarding workshop.
I was able to escape the children for a few hours and went to a fun M&S event in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital, I’ll be sharing more about this soon.
We had a few more trips closer to home including Hughenden Manor, a local theatre production, a girls only shopping trip, a ride on our local miniature railway, as well as a trip to Ikea to buy some lovely new items for the living room. Phew! I told you we didn’t sit down once!
Of course we also spent lots of time baking and crafting too, and we just about managed to finish the children’s homework last night before bed.
I’ve already checked the calendar and counted 7 and a half weeks until the children break up for Christmas. This term is always loads of fun for them at school so I’m hoping they’ll have a great time and it will soon be time for the Christmas holidays! Have a great week everyone.
