Marzipan hearts dipped in white chocolate

Posted on February 3, 2014 by jenny

Something came over me the other evening, the desire to make delicious things to eat. Before Christmas I had bought a block of marzipan to make some marzipan fruits for Christmas, but I ran out of time. Instead I made some pretty marzipan hearts and dipped them in white chocolate for a naughty treat.

easy marzipan hearts They were really simple to make as you can probably see from the photographs above. First I added a little red food colouring to half a block of marzipan and mixed it well, I rolled it out quite thin and cut out my shapes with a small fluted heart-shaped cutter.

I melted half a bar of white chocolate and dipped the marzipan hearts in it, leaving them to dry on a sheet on baking parchment.

A perfect little Valentine treat for your loved ones!

These look so professional. My FIL loves marzipan, I might have to make him something similar for fathers day

You know this would be the perfect gift for me!
I never even thought about the fact you can colour marzipan either! Would that work with the almond or just the white?
    Thank you for sharing.

Any chance you remember where did you buy a cutter from?
All my cookie cutters will be way too big to recreate it ๐Ÿ™

These look so cute, but I have to be honest… I HATE marzipan with such a passion! When I was around 7 I won a block of it on a school tombola and ate the whole thing in one go. Was sooooo ill!
