A few weeks ago we had a lovely trip to Paris. I packed a couple of little craft kits to keep me busy, a felt bauble kit and a Christmas tree kit from Love Embroidery magazine. The hoop kit Christmas tree included a piece of printed fabric, 4m green embroidery thread, a pink 4″ hoop, as well as 11 sequins.

I gave the fabric a quick iron before we went away and placed it in the hoop, so was able to start stitching on the train. Using the green thread, I added branches to the tree, which was quite fun. I used straight stitch so this was a really easy kit to make.
Unfortunately I lost the pack of sequins somewhere on the way to Paris! So when I got home I had to raid my stash for more. I found a metal star and long, thin, sequins so I used these to decorate the branches of the tree.
I loved this little kit. It was fun to stitch and will look great hung on the tree this year.
