Reading is something I’m passionate about and I’m always happy to add books to our library at home. We were recently gifted a copy of Lore of the Wild: Folklore & Wisdom from Nature by Claire Cock-Starkey, illustrated by Aitch. The cover just blew me away and I was excited to look inside the book.

Did you know that people used to believe that corgis were ridden by fairies?

That dreaming about onions is good luck?

And that taking dandelions into the house would make you wet the bed?

In Lore of the Wild you can discover folklore from nature, and understand how our ancestors interacted with the world. From the lore of the sun and the moon, to all types of flowers, trees, and animals, Lore of the Wild will inspire an appreciation of different cultures, as well as an engagement with the beauty of the natural environment.

This looks like a wonderful book and the gorgeous illustrations. I adore the front cover, very attractive and appealing. Very intrigued about pinecones and whether that is actually true, interesting.
