July Japan Candy Box unboxing

Last week a new subscription box popped through my door – the Japan Candy Box. Japan Candy Box is the sweetest monthly Japanese candy subscription service and we were excited to try it out. This is what our box looked like, packed full of 10 colourful candy and sweet treats to try!

Japan Candy BoxIt goes without saying that my children love candy too so we tried all the sweets together. Here are our thoughts:

Japan Candy BoxThe Glico Collon Biscuit Rolls have a funny sounding name and were our least favourite snack. They are like little crispy rolls, perhaps filled with green tea?

Japan Candy BoxThe Horadekita Popsicle DIY Candy Kit is a cute little kit with lots of small packets. You empty them into the tray provided, push a fork into the candy and you can lick the sherbert from them. We loved the idea and the flavour!

Japan Candy BoxChameleon Candy contained hard round candy balls. I’m not sure what the taste was but we all liked them.

Japan Candy BoxThe cute little green triangle was the Sakuma LINE Drops containing three hard boiled sweets. Pokemon Pineapple Chewy Candy sticks looked like chewing gum and were delicious. The Meiji Petit Bubble Gum were cute and tasted nice.

Japan Candy BoxThis Meiji Watapachi Popping Candy Floss made me laugh. I love candy floss and popping candy but together it’s a bit of a strange sensation in your mouth. The grape flavour was nice.

Japan Candy BoxMaruta Soda Fruit Candy sweets were in a miniature bottle and tasted of cola. The Bourbon Petit Chocolate Chip Cookies were my children’s favourite, miniature cookies, what’s not to like? The final candy was the packet of Strawberry Pocky Biscuit Sticks, biscuit straws coated with a strawberry flavour which were delicious.

This is what our table looked like after we had finished!

July Japan Candy Box

I would definitely recommend a Japan Candy Box if you love Japanese sweets. A list of contents is included but it’s always fun trying new things!

  1. My husband has ordered one of these boxes and we cant wait for it to arrive. I love the DIY candy idea. We have a DIY drink which we haven’t tried yet. I think I’ll have to make it now I’ve seen your goodies 🙂 x

  2. I didn’t realise one can order Japanese sweets in the UK. We currently live in Japan (Osaka) and are used to things like green tea and sweet potato sweets 🙂 It’s good to know that we can still get them when we come back to the UK.
