How to make Prime painted rocks

Both my kids have gone crazy for bottles of Prime! I’ve managed to buy a few of the flavours in Asda and Sainsbury’s but they are so hard to get hold of if you don’t want to spend over the asking price. Prime was developed by KSI & Logan Paul to refresh, replenish, and refuel. There are currently nine flavours, including Blue Raspberry, Lemon Lime and Grape.

I haven’t managed to get my hands on any bottles of Prime for a while so I thought I would make my own, painted rock, versions. We love to decorate rocks and these certainly kept the kids amused.

For our Prime painted rocks we used:

Bag of smooth pebbles or rocks

Selection of chalk pens

Varnish to seal the painted rocks (we use Wilko Gloss Yacht Varnish) – optional

We already had a stash of smooth rocks so I picked a selection, washed and dried them.

We drew on our designs in pencil. First drawing the outline of a bottle, then adding the word Prime.

Then added colour with our Posca pens which are perfect for drawing on rocks. We drew over the outline of the bottle and the label.

Then we chose colours for the different flavours.

We made a whole selection of Prime painted rocks in different colours.

Then we added a few coats of varnish. They are perfect for hiding amongst the books at our local library or around the area, and the varnish will ensure they look good for a while.
