The other day Little Sis and I enjoyed sitting outside in the garden to look through it. There are lots of fun things to do and I can’t wait for the weather to be a little warmer so we can work our way through it. The book is handily arranged by season and then material.
We loved the idea of making a terrarium which was in the Autumn section. Terrariums have been all the rage for a while now. I have a couple of grown up ones but I thought it would be fun to make a kid-friendly one in a jam jar. The instructions were easy to follow and you can see my 4 year old was able to make it herself.
In the jam jar she added a layer of stones, then a layer of soil. We hunted around for some moss, then gently lifted it off and placed it on top of our jam jar terrarium. She placed some tiny animals on top and gave it a sprinkle of water.
She really enjoyed herself and keeps asking when it is going to grow!
This is so cool! I thought for a minute it had real bugs in it and freaked out! Im good now haha
