We got back from our half term adventures yesterday. We’d had a brilliant few days away and came back to a warm-ish house and a well-packed freezer. I’ve learned my lesson and now make sure to stock the freezer with bread, milk and something I know will make everyone happy for that all-important first meal back at home.
Pizza is a firm family favourite so I know I can never go wrong with any of Chicago Town’s Deep Dish range. My youngest always chooses to have pizza when it’s her turn to pick dinner and we eat it at least once a week. It’s our comfort food and I knew it would be just the thing after a long car journey. We like to break up any long journey and stopped for a walk at The Ridgeway just outside Avebury in Wiltshire. We spent ages watching some National Trust volunteers patching up some of the seven Bronze Age barrows and talking to them about their work.
Travelling with children can be exhausting (or is that just my children?!). Anyway, they can normally be appeased with a good meal so I made sure to pick up some cucumber, tomatoes and coleslaw at the service station we stopped at on the way home.
Within minutes of getting home I was able to put our pizza in the oven and we had a hot meal to enjoy in 40 minutes. It was just what we needed after a long car journey, it’s definitely my little superhero in the freezer, perfect for a meal at any time of the day.

Got to say I love pizza, definitely my naughty snack food of choice!
I’ve seen these but never tried them and they loo very nice, great for a back up plan when busy. Mich x
