Happy Holidays

Despite the constant rain and gusty breeze we are enjoying some time on the Isle of Wight with our family. Whenever we come down we fall into a bit of a routine which includes visiting Busy Bee Nursery and looking round the charity shops in Ryde. However this morning we set off for another reclamation yard in Ryde, looking for the elusive missing parts for our fireplace. We managed to find a couple of suitable looking pieces and snapped them up for the bargain price of £15 (unbelievably cheap compared to what we were told in London last weekend).

Then it was off to the Busy Bee Nursery with my mum, sister and youngest niece to see Father Christmas, or Father Crimpimps, as Willow says. I don’t know what he said to her but he shocked her into silence so we were able to sit down and enjoy some cake in peace.

Finally we went into Ryde and I braved the shops whilst everyone else sheltered from the rain in the pub. I bought some lovely vintage Christmas decorations which will look great on our tree!
