I’m trying really hard not to think about Christmas – but pretty much failing miserably! My children are excited about Halloween on Monday and my daughter has her birthday at the end of November. I try to concentrate on my daughter’s birthday but I know a few lots of Christmas crafts will be slipping in during November.
A few weeks ago I spotted a cute nursery rhyme themed hama bead set. It included a gingerbread man so I had to buy it for me my children. As soon as my son saw it he wanted to make the gingerbread man. He loves making things with hama beads, it’s the perfect craft for ensuring some quiet time.
I thought it came together quite quickly. All the beads were in a separate pack so there was none of the normal hunting for the right colour!
When he had finished placing the beads in the right place I ironed it for him.
I can’t believe we’ve never made a Hama bead gingerbread man before. Now I need to find patterns for all the other characters in the story so we can re-tell our favourite story through the medium of hama beads!
