I love Halloween. Have I said that enough lately? I love coming up with Halloween crafts and I’m not sure what’s more fun – Halloween crafting or seeing my kids faces when they discover what I’ve been up to!
Every day at pick up they ask me for a snack. It’s now fully ingrained in my head that I have some yummy healthy snacks for them. Today, however, I didn’t pack treats. Instead I spent the afternoon making them some very spooky Halloween treats – monster bagels for when they got home.
As a busy mum I love to share the little hacks which make life easy. These Halloween treats are super fun and easy to make. I used a bag of the NEW Maple Mini Bagels, they are snack size but they’re still the real deal; soft on the outside and chewy in the middle. There are loads of ways to enjoy them from toasting them whole, tearing them into chunks for savoury or sweet dunking or enjoying with soup.

How to make Halloween Monster Bagels
I melted the cooking chocolate in the microwave and used a knife to spread it over the top of each bagel. There are 6 mini bagels in each pack, which makes them the perfect after school snack – the bag is re-sealable if you can’t manage 6!
When the top of each bagel was covered in yummy chocolate I dipped them in sprinkles. I found white chocolate stars and crunchy bronzed sugar pieces which looked great against the chocolate.
To finish them off I raided my stash of food picks and found some eyes. These were perfect for sticking into each decorated bagel to make Halloween monster bagels. Needless to say the kids loved them and thet weren’t too frightening to be eaten! The bagels are seriously yummy and will be great for lunch boxes, after school snacks and more.
