We are off to the pumpkin patch this week and I can’t wait to kick off our Halloween celebrations. I know Halloween doesn’t fall until the end of the month but Halloween gives us a much needed colour boost at this time of year. I love adding to our Halloween decorations each year and couldn’t resist getting my Maker out to make these Halloween Cricut Farmhouse signs. I’ve added the free Halloween png files so why not try the craft for yourself.

Black acrylic paint
White acrylic paint
Paint brushes
Wooden square shadow boxes
Cricut black vinyl
Cricut Transfer tape
Blue Cricut mat

How to make Halloween Cricut Farmhouse signs
I used wooden shadow boxes and painted them for Halloween.
First I painted the inside of the shadow boxes in white matte.
I let them dry. Then I painted the edges and back of the shadow boxes black matte. I put them to one side to let them dry.
Next I started preparing the two png files by uploading them to Cricut Design Space. I made them 4×4 to fit the shadow boxes. If you have a different box make sure you change the size.
Place the black vinyl on the blue cutting mat and set your Cricut Maker to cut on the vinyl setting.
Remove the cut vinyl from the Maker and weed the designs with the appropriate weeding tool. Once the design is weeded, cut a piece of Transfer tape the same size as the design square. Place the transfer tape over the top and scrape with scraper tool.
Peel back slowly making sure that the design sticks to the transfer tape. Then place the design to the inside of the wood square. Press down and scrape with the scraper tool. Peel the tape back slowly making sure the design sticks to the box surface.
Repeat these steps for the other box and png design as well.
You will have two handmade Halloween Cricut Farmhouse signs which are a great way to update your Halloween display!
