Enjoy half term with Flora’s Family Fun Guide

Posted on February 19, 2015February 23, 2015 by jenny

This week we’ve been reviewing Flora Buttery’s Family Fun Guide. I know half term isn’t over yet but I wanted to tell you about it in case you’re in need of a few quick ideas to keep the children busy.

Flora-family-fun-guide-coverWritten by parenting author, Tanith Carey, it’s designed for those days when you need a little bit of inspiration to stop restless kids from climbing the walls. The guide contains easy and tasty baking recipes, arts and crafts ideas and games to play with the children; it’s the perfect half-term activity pack.

The best thing is that each activity needs no more than five things that you should have at home, and takes no more than 15 minutes to prepare. This is ideal when I’m trying to entertain my two and we’ve had fun looking through the guide and choosing what to make every day.

On Monday we dyed pasta and used them to make collage pictures and threaded them into necklaces.

FLora ButteryToday we’ll be putting the final touches to our home made sock puppets so we can put on a puppet show.

Now I’ve written it down it sounds like we’ve spent loads of time making things from the Family Fun Guide but each activity was quite quick, which meant my children were happy to get creative and I was happy they were simple to set up, required minimum preparation but they really enjoyed them.

You can keep up with our crafting by looking out for hte hashtag #FloraFamilyFun on Twitter and Instagram. Don’t forget to take a look at the guide here.

Disclosure – we were sent a copy of Flora’s Family Fun Guide as well as some craft and baking supplies.

These look great fun! I’d forgotten all about sock puppet, I have that on my list for tomorrow now.
