Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 498}

Accidentally Wes Anderson exhibition London

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while over the last few years. It is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family.

My daughter tried a new after school art class. She has struggled to find any after school clubs she enjoys but she tried a local art class and got on really well. It’s a mixed age group but she said she would like to go again.

Over the weekend we went and visited the Accidentally Wes Anderson exhibition in South Kensington. My son is studying Wes Anderson in art so we thought it would be fun to go and see this. We all enjoyed it and were pointing out Wes Anderson type buildings wherever we went.  We also went to see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year at the Natural History Museum which was also really good.

During the Easter holidays we all decorated mugs and they came back from the Emma Bridgewater Decorating Studio. They look totally different now they have been glazed. The dog got a new bowl and we all have mugs.

instead of my usual sewing I have been making felt succulents with my glue gun. I love succulents and hopefully my felt ones will last longer and not be in danger of being over-watered.

I’ve been listening to all the talks which took place at The Persephone Festival in Bath a few weekends ago. I wasn’t able to attend (although I really wanted to). Thankfully the talks are free for a month, you can find them here.

    School clubs can be so hit and miss. Our oldest ended up doing DND at a local geek retreat, which has been much better than school related clubs. The Wes Anderson installation looks so fun!

    Reading about your daughter’s newfound enjoyment of the art class and your family’s adventure at the Accidentally Wes Anderson exhibition brought a smile to my face.
