Monday morning again. Hope you had a great weekend whatever you got up to. I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Five Happy Things {Week 228}
How did you celebrate Valentine’s Day? We gave each other cards and little chocolate treats. After school I set up a little mini gingerbread house decorating station. I found a pack of mini gingerbread houses in Flying Tiger and gathering gingerbread house glue, icing and sprinkles. The kids loved decorating their little gingerbread houses and they both looked completely different when they had finished.
I’ve been looking forward to the return of the Great British Sewing Bee. I can’t tell you how many times my children came down and interrupted me as I tried to watch it. I did enjoy watching it and have been wanting to pick up some sewing all week! Sadly work was quite busy and with after school activities and Parents Evening, I didn’t do anything.
We were happy to escape London for the weekend and swap it for a weekend in Wiltshire. The weather wasn’t too bad and we were able to fly our kite up by the Westbury White Horse. It was pretty windy, so perfect kite flying weather. When the children got bored they played football and drove their RC car too.
Have you watched Goosebumps 2? Yesterday we too part in a fun twitter party to celebrate it’s release on Blu-ray and DVD. It’s such a fun film and we were sent some extra goodies to enjoy whilst we watched it, including a Slappy tshirt and gummy bear sweets. Pop on over to this post for your chance to win a copy of Goosebumps 2.
We are definitely all ready for some half term adventures. We have a few things lined up including a trip to the British Library to the Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms exhibition and slime making at Hobbycraft. We’ve also been sent some lovely toys to review so we are looking forward to some time at home to relax and enjoy ourselves.
