EmbellishBox - monthly templates for paper cutting

Last year I really embraced paper cutting. I love paper cutting. It requires few materials and seems to take up less room than my sewing stuff. It’s also easier to put down and pick up again which is why I have a folder full of paper cuts!

Having worked my way through Cut It Out! by Poppy Chancellor I was looking for more designs to cut out. I bought a few books from Amazon and then heard about the Embellish Box. This is a monthly subscription box for paper cutters. It sounded great so I bought myself a box and it arrived just before Christmas.

Everything comes in a large box which unfortunately didn’t fit through my letter box so I had to go and pick it up. This was a bit annoying but understandable as the templates are A4. Each box is themed, this month was Winter Joy, and inside were 4 x Winter Joy templates, 3 x backing papers, and some extra Winter Joy goodies. As I was a new subscriber a new scalpel and blade were included.

I have already made the Spread Joy template as a present for my mum. It was really lovely to cut although it took me a while to get used to someone else’s style. I used one of the backing papers which finished it off really well and my mum loved it.

Since then I have also cut the Winter Joy House.

This didn’t take me long and I placed an LED candle inside so I could admire it. I think a house template is included in every box so it will be nice to see my paper village grow every month.

I love paper cutting and this was a lovely box to receive. The 4 x templates were A4 and valued at around £32.57. The subscription costs £18 with free shipping in the UK so this is a great way to try paper cutting. You can find more information on the EmbellishBox website.
