The weeks are going very quickly at the moment. I use my monthly subscriptions to mark the weeks and was very surprised to receive the latest Embellish Box. This is a monthly subscription box full of paper templates for paper cutting.

Each box is themed and the latest box was called Up Up and Away.

Inside the box were 4 x templates (Enjoying the view, Two balloons, Up up and away, and a balloon basket), 3 x backing papers from PaperStory.co.uk as well as some themed goodies: a hot air balloon lantern, cloud magnet, hanging hot air balloon and a little chocolate.

I started with the Two Balloons template and was pleasantly surprised that it only took me an hour to cut. It was lovely to make some time for my hobby as I have been spending far too much time on my blog lately.

There was a lovely selection of backing papers with this box. I would love to learn a little more about backing paper cuts. I know you can just add a single sheet of paper but I would love to try something a little more complicated with a couple of colours.

The total value of the EmbellishBox was £31.00 which I thought was good value as my subscription costs £18.00 a month.

Well done you! It turned out beautifully! I don’t think i’d be any good at something so fiddly!

This is wonderful! I’d love to try these with my granddaughter. She’s been making new artwork to hang on her bedroom walls
