Easy Valentine cracker

Posted on January 28, 2014July 8, 2016 by jenny

Last week an exciting packet of craft supplies landed on my doormat from Bostik. I didn’t know they made glue and sticky foam pads but they do, and I was sent some to try out. They also sent some sparkly red felt, red and white card, and asked me to make something for Valentines Day.

Bostik craft supplies

I thought I would make a fun little treat for my children so whipped up some easy Valentine crackers. Here’s how I did it:

Bostik craft glue

First of all I bought some tubes of Love Hearts, and cut a piece of the red felt long enough to wrap around each tube. I spread a thin line of the Bostik Glu & Fix along one long side of the felt and rolled the tube of sweets up as tightly as possible. I did this three times and set them aside to dry.

Whilst they were drying I cut two sizes of hearts freehand from the red and white card. I tried using the Blu Tack foam pads between the layers but they were too big so used a dot of the Glu & Fix instead.

When I was sure the crackers had dried I tied a short piece of ribbon at each end so they looked like crackers and glued each heart in the centre.

A cute little sweet treat for your loved ones!

I’m a member of the Bostik Family Craft Bloggers Network and was sent these supplies in order to write this post.

Oh that’s cute. I can’t wait til my children can read the messages on the Love Hearts, rather than just eating every sweet they see.
