My children are so sporty and I really don’t know where they get it from (clearly not me!). This week they are having fun at Super Camp and it sounds like they are playing all sorts of different games which have inspired me to make these DIY gold winners trophies.
I’m really hoping they will want to sit and watch some of the Olympics with me when it starts. I enjoy watching sports and I’m quite enjoying the summer of sports and it’s definitely influencing our crafting.
The warm weather has been perfect for our latest craft which I wanted to share today. We made the easiest DIY trophies, prizes for our own sporty activities at home. If your children love Peppa Pig then you may have heard the phrase “real plastic gold” and these are what we made!
Equipment needed to make DIY gold winners trophies
Plastic champagne flutes (I bought six for £1 at the local pound shop)
Gold spray paint
Empty cardboard box
Double sided tape
How to make DIY gold winners trophies
I find it best to spray paint small items in a cardboard box. I used double sided tape to stick them down to prevent them moving whilst I sprayed them.
I gave them a light spray and left them to dry. I did this a couple of times, then turned each cup round to spray the other side. They turned out perfectly, every one’s a winner!
