I’m not quite sure where the week has gone but I’m finally sitting down to write and tell you about our adventures last weekend. We were kindly loaned a brand spanking new Land Rover Discovery Sport for the weekend! This may have been our most exciting blogging adventure yet.
Ok, so I drive. But you probably don’t know that I’m a really awful, anxious driver. I drive my kids to their after school clubs but I find no pleasure in driving. So I laughed a little when Land Rover contacted me and immediately texted my husband. He loves cars so was happy to try out the new Land Rover Discovery Sport. We agreed that he would do the driving and I would do what I do best – blogging, tweeting, Facebooking and ‘gramming.
Land Rover Discovery Sport
We’ve actually just changed cars and have a super comfortable Mercedes E Class Estate. We do a lot of driving across the country and love to be comfortable, and fit in all our stuff. So did we like the Land Rover Discovery Sport? In a word, YES! It was lovely being so high up and made us feel invincible as we cruised down the A40 into London.
My techie husband loved the amazing technology, such as the parking sensors and cameras. He spent quite a long time seeing how everything worked. The kids were comfortable and happy andĀ I loved the extra seats in the boot which were really useful when the kids started bickering!
Discovery Adventures podcasts
Land Rover have recently launched the Discovery Adventures podcasts which were recorded on-location at some of the UKās most fascinating places. They feature the countryās best-known nature experts, and are a unique blend of fact and fiction, for adventurers of all ages.
Crafted in immersive Binaural Sound by triple Olivier award-winning sound design guru Gareth Fry, (best known for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the London 2012 Opening Ceremony) they are best listened to in a car (or on headphones). The Discovery Adventures have been created to give families a thrilling Land Rover brand experience, no matter what theyāre driving.
You can listen on Apple Podcasts, Acast or Spotify. We listened via Apple Podcasts and the sound was amazing.
The Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum featured in the second podcast so it only seemed right that we listen to the podcast whilst driving to theĀ Natural History Museum. We love visiting the museums of South Ken and it was very relaxing, driving in such a comfortable car whilst listening to the podcast.
We got there nice and early and parked outside. The children love the NHM and once inside we headed straight for the dinosaur gallery. Unfortunately it was looking a little sad and tired since our last visit but the kids had a blast, especially Little Sis who is dinosaur crazy!
A big thanks to Land Rover for the loan of the Discovery Sport.

wow that looks amazing to drive I love the gadgets and techy bits always WOWs me lol and a winner
lovely museum trip did you know they do overnight stays also?
That sounds like it’s amazing to drive. I love the idea of them and the look of them but the fuel consumption puts me off as my current car does 70+mpg. I looks like you had a lovely time.

The drive sounds really relaxing and the seats look comfortable. I love the NHM I was sad to see the dinosaur gone in the main lobby.
The Discovery sport looks like a spacious car and perfect for families.I would love to own one of them.
Ah I’m so jealous, I am desperate to try out a Land Rover, they look amazing, definitely the car of my dreams!
This sounds amazing, talk about a dream car! I love the idea of a car with parking sensors etc š
I’d love to have a drive in a Landrover, the podcasts are so cool arent they!
Oh I would love one of these but Iām not sure I would get used to parking something that big haha x
I’m looking for cars but I think that’s a bit out of my price range – Might have a test drive though, haha! š
Has it got three full size seats across the rear – that is the one thing that frustrates me as I have three in car seats
