Cath Kidston press preview

Cath Kidston Autumn Winter collection and a giveaway

Posted on August 6, 2016March 1, 2020 by jenny

For me one of the best things about being a blogger is the chance to work with some of my favourite brands. I’ve worked with Cath Kidston a few times now and was so excited to receive an invitation to their Autumn Winter 2016 Press Preview. I really enjoy press shows. I only go to a few of the brands I really love and I can’t wait to see their new collections before anyone else.

The Cath Kidston Autumn Winter collection preview took place in a lovely venue just off Bond Street. On a very warm day earlier this summer I took myself off to immerse myself in the new collection. I was not disappointed. As I walked up the stairs I was met with the fun sign pictured above, hinting at the vibe for the Autumn/Winter collection.

I walked into the main room which was quite dark. There was a central display featuring the main prints and key clothing items, then smaller displays around the room covering baby and kids, and also homeware. At the back was a special area dedicated to the Cath Kidston Christmas collection.

I wasn’t sure what to look at first! Several of the new prints caught my eye, especially the pencil one. I thought the clothes looked quite smart and I could easily see myself wearing some of the pieces to the office.

I really loved the detail of the floral collar on this cardigan.

There were some lovely pieces for children in the Cath Kids section, from floral wellies to a pretty skirt with netting underneath. I wish my daughter would wear any of these pretty pieces. Perhaps Cath Kidston should make pretty clothes for girls who love trousers and shorts!

There were lots of gorgeous new prints and I loved how they were displayed amongst  hanging trees, jars of pine cones and large ferns. There was a real woodland feel to the collection with harvest inspired colours and an adorable hedgehog. You can read more about the new Cath Kidston prints on their website.

There are more lovely pieces in the Christmas collection. It was too dark to take photographs but there are some fun Christmas jumpers, a gorgeous clear phone case full of glitter which is on my Christmas list, as well as knitted telephone boxes and robins. There are Christmas stockings, clothing, decorations and more.

Cath Kidston Universal Slip Pouch giveaway

I came away with a mental shopping list, a copy of the Lookbook and a Cath Kidston Universal Slip Pouch. Sadly it doesn’t fit my iPhone 6 Plus but it seems to fit most other makes including iPhones, Nokia Lumia, Sony Xperia, Samsung, Alcatel and Core Prime – any device between 4.7″-5″. I thought I would offer the Cath Kidston Universal Slip Pouch to any Cath Kidston fans out there. For your chance to win simply tell me your favourite Cath Kidston print – old or new – in a comment on this blog post.

The giveaway ends on Sunday 21st August, the winners name will be chosen at random and published on this post. UK only please. The winners name is Pixie31.

My favourite print is ‘Petal’ from her 2012 collection, it has a lovely 60s vibe and I’m in love with that 60s look.
