This is my last post as part of the WWBack2Best challenge with Britmums. Today I’m going to share some of the equipment I’ve been using in the kitchen. I adore cookery books so was very pleased to add The Complete Kitchen Recipe Book and Members Favourites Recipe Book to my collection. I plan our meals weekly which can be a bit boring but means I don’t have to worry about opening the fridge at 5 and wondering what to cook! I’ve enjoyed looking through these books for inspiration and found some lovely new recipes which we’ve all enjoyed. measuring spoons…

These early dark evenings are not conducive to losing weight! I am really enjoying baking at the moment and finding it quite difficult to not over indulge. However, my jeans are getting looser so I must be doing something right. When I started the challenge I was sent some Weight Watchers products to try. You may remember this photograph of my son having a good look through the products! To be honest I thought they were a real mixed bunch. We liked the bread rolls, digestive biscuits, ginger biscuits, cakes and crisps, but didn’t like the curry sauce, juice, or…

A couple of weeks into the Back2Best challenge and I have to admit it’s going very slowly. I’ve been enjoying healthy meal planning and trying out lots of new recipes, I’m just quite hungry in the evenings. Old habits die hard and very slowly it seems. As part of the challenge I was sent two recipe books and the lastest WeightWatchers magazine and I’ve spent many hours looking through them for inspiration. Most of the recipes are pretty straightforward and it’s great being able to make tasty meals for myself and my husband. In fact, I’m not even sure he…

I was surprised to find that I’ve been trying to lose weight for two and a half weeks. I have to be honest and say I’m finding it more difficult that I thought to find the time to learn the ProPoints way and plan healthy meals. Watching what I eat has made me realise just how much I snack in the evenings when the kids are in bed and I put my feet up! However, I shall not be deterred, I think I just underestimated the effort I would need to lose weight. One of the features of WeightWatchers ProPoints is…

When I saw a new challenge on BritMums, to lose weight with Weight Watchers, I knew I had to apply. Two babies in two and a half years has left me with a body I don’t like. I’m not vain but I want to look good for myself, my husband and children. I also want to wear nicer clothes and be healthier. My biggest challenge is to carry on baking but making it as healthy as possible! Starting tomorrow and for the next 3 months I will be participating in the Weight Watchers weight loss programme using the ProPoints system…

How is it March already? I’m slightly late in posting my February monthly make but it is something rather special: a lovely dinosaur blanket for Edward’s first birthday. I found the pattern in an old issue of Sew Hip magazine and used a vintage blanket and Amy Butler fabric. The finished blanket is slightly smaller than the original pattern as I wanted to make it for his cot. I’ve embroidered the bottom edge with his name and the date of his first birthday and hopefully he’ll treasure it.
