Our family love all things Minion so have been looking forward to the release of Despicable Me 3 for a while. My children have opened a few Despicable Me 3 Kinder Eggs and we reviewed some of the new Despicable Me Mineez too. They also got their hands on some Despicable Me Happy Meals toys – we’ve been pretty much immersed in all things Despicable Me and minions! So when we were invited to the premiere of the new film in Leicester Square we just had to attend. We managed to keep it a secret until we arrived at Leicester…

We love reviewing the latest toys here on our blog and social channels. You may have seen I recently shared a new video on our YouTube channel – an unboxing of the new Nerf Nitro MotoFury Rapid Rally Blaster Set from Hasbro. Nerf Nitro MotoFury Rapid Rally Blaster Set My kids absolutely adore making videos of anything but give them a cardboard box and they get really excited! You can take a look at our unboxing video here: We received the new Nerf Nitro MotoFury Rapid Rally set as well as an extra Foam Car Pack containing a set of 3…

Today we had a pretty long day out at Wings and Wheels Model Spectacular. This is an annual radio control model show which takes place at the historic North Weald Airfield in Essex. We try and go ever year as my husband flies model planes (and has radio control cars and boats too!). There was plenty to see and do. The children both wanted to have a go at everything. My 7 year old drove a remote control lorry around a track (badly). They both enjoyed the radio control boats. The weather was so much cooler than it has been…

I’m a huge fan of creative toys which my children can play with independently. Aquabeads is one such brand that my children love. It’s a small bead toy (perfect for ages 4 and over) which sticks together with water. This means my children can choose their designs and easily make them, spray them with water and leave them to dry. We recently received the Aquabeads Toy Story Character Set which I wanted to share. Aquabeads Toy Story Character Set Who doesn’t love Toy Story? I’ve always loved Disney films but Toy Story has a special place in my heart. It’s…

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll see I have posted a few different kinds of photos recently. After 7 years of being a stay at home mum I’ve been dipping my toes into work outside of the home. It’s no secret I’ve been self employed for the last few years but I’ve been increasingly happy to do something else. Blogging can be lonely. It’s also amazingly flexible, allowing me to look after my children, but its not something I wanted to do for ever. In the last few years I’ve had a few job interviews and even one job…

A few weeks ago we went to a screening of the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kids film. It’s a great family film and really encouraged my 7 year old to start reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul by Jeff Kinney This is the book that inspired the 20th Century Fox film, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. A family road trip is supposed to be a lot of fun … unless, of course, you’re the Heffleys. The journey starts off full of promise, then quickly takes several…

Recently my 7 year old lost his first tooth. It wobbled and wobbled and I took him to the Dentist who gently pulled it out. I was pretty excited about this milestone as these seem to be few and far between the older your children gets. He was given his tooth in a paper bag and went happily back to school. We had talked about the Tooth Fairy and he knew he had to keep his tooth safe until bedtime. At bedtime he carefully placed the envelope containing the tooth on his bedside table. He wanted to place it…

Little Sis is a very lucky little lady. She’s been quite poorly lately and seems to keep picking up the same tummy bug which is passing through her Reception class. She’s had quite a few days at home with me (which I secretly enjoy and I think she does too!). Last week she was at home, sick again, when we had a very special delivery. As Friends of Sylvanian Families we were so lucky to receive the Sylvanian Families Secret Island Playhouse to review! Take a look at our unboxing video before I tell you a little more about it.…

Over the last few months we’ve been exploring the area around Avebury in Wiltshire. I love ancient sites and I’m trying to encourage my children to see the beauty and significance of the Avebury World Heritage Site too. TheWest Kennet Long Barrow is one of the largest, impressive and accessible Neolithic chambered tombs in Britain. Built in around 3650 BC, it was used for a short time as a burial chamber, with nearly 50 people being buried here before the chambers were blocked. It is now part of the Avebury World Heritage Site. The walk to West Kennet Long Barrow…
