Have you heard about the 30 Days Wild challenge? 30 Days Wild is the UK’s month-long nature challenge organised by The Wildlife Trust which is taking place now. The idea is simple – can you do something wild every day for 30 days? Who are the Wildlife Trust? No matter where you are in the UK, your Wildlife Trust is inspiring people about wildlife and wild places and saving, protecting and standing up for nature near you. Together, The Wildlife Trusts care for 2,300 beautiful nature reserves and most people live within a few miles of one of these special places. They are…

This half term we were busy with some planned days out and plenty of days at home too. The children have been re-discovering some of their favourite toys and making the most of the garden, before it got too chilly. We made them special Half Term Reward charts, which were more a list of things to do, in case they ran out of ideas. Top of the list was spending time outdoors, as we all know that fresh air and activity helps children sleep better! I love working with BEAR Nibbles because, like me, they believe in getting little cubs…

My children have been (almost) climbing the walls with excitement for most of October. They just adore Halloween and have been dressing up, pleading with me to get the Halloween decorations out of the loft, and helping me bake spooky treats all month. Halloween can, and should be, a really fun festival for children. They love decorating the front of our house to make sure that Trick or Treaters know they can call on us. To get them in the mood for Halloween, they were sent their very own trick-or-treat boxes from BEAR. I left them out for the children…

Our family love a challenge and our latest task from BEAR was to get our tastebuds twisting with the brand new Super Sour Yoyos. We received delicious packs of BEAR Super Sour Yoyos along with our very own roulette wheel to play Super Sours Yoyos Roulette. BEAR Yoyos are back with a twist – or should that be a zing? The new 100% pure fruit and veg snacks have been given a super twist with the tantalising addition of lemon and they are sure to tickle your little cubs tastebuds! As you would expect from BEAR, there are absolutely no hidden nasties. They…

We had some amazing adventures over the Easter holidays. We stayed at home this year but had lots of trips out planned – mainly as my children just have so much energy! We went into London quite a lot, enjoying a trip to the opera and a Star Wars exhibition as well as local days out at the park and Lido. With some big days out planned there was really only one way to start each day, and that was with a good breakfast, such as our favourite BEAR Alphabites. Have you noticed they’ve had a bit of a makeover…

My children are absolutely crazy about collecting the cards inside packs of BEAR Yoyos. Luckily they get through plenty of the fruity rolls as they are the perfect healthy addition to their packed lunch or snack. They were so excited to hear that BEAR is embarking on a brand new, TOP SECRET spy adventure and that there are 65 new cards to collect! My children love dressing up and were recruited by the Department of Danger to accompany Agent BEAR and Mole on their TOP SECRET spy adventure. They received a lovely spy kit to help them save the world…

Post in collaboration with BEAR Alphabites Regular readers of my blog will know we’re huge fans of BEAR products. They recently sent me a parcel of goodies and I was so excited! I opened up the box to find two boxes of BEAR Alphabites cereal, a gorgeous place mat, bowl and personalised spoon. With one child in Reception and another in Year 2 I know the importance of a good breakfast for the whole family. My children need a lot of energy to get through the school day so a healthy breakfast is a must. I have one child who is an…

My children have been looking forward to Halloween throughout October. Our lightbox turned into a countdown and they were forever double checking how many days! Halloween can be a great event for children. There are the spooky costumes, the scary films, the pumpkin carving, the Halloween crafts and of course, the Trick or Treating. One thing I’m not so keen on is the emphasis on all the sweets and sugary stuff. The shops have been full of special Halloween branded sweets, cakes and biscuits for weeks. It’s hard to hide from those products, and even harder to hide them from…
