It is well and truly Autumn here in the UK. It’s my favourite time of year and I love watching the leaves on the trees change colour. I’ve lost count of the number of ‘treasures’ my daughter keeps presenting me with every time we leave the house. She’s as drawn to conkers and acorns as I am and I keep finding little piles of them all over the house. Our Autumn Bucket List There are some great activities you can do with the kids during Autumn so I thought I would make an Autumn Bucket List of the things we…

I don’t know about you, but have you noticed the evenings getting darker earlier? The sun is still warm but when it goes down you notice how chilly it gets. We certainly felt Autumnal when we were camping last week, but we made the most of it (and came home with a stash of blackberries!). Autumn is my favourite month. I love looking out for the signs of Autumn, picking blackberries, looking for conkers, and walks in the woods where you can watch the leaves changing colour and falling. {Free printable} Fall bookmarks to colour Today I wanted to share…

Do you have any little Lego fans at home? If you’ve followed us for a while you’ll know that both my children (and us adults too) just love Lego. Yesterday we visited the small city of Gouda in the Netherlands and we found a Lego shop! My son was able to build our family out of Lego minfigure parts and also picked up the latest Lego Ninjago set for himself. Of course it didn’t take him long to build his new set. You can find the Lego shop at Lange Tiendeweg 31, Gouda, if you’re in the area. Lego has…

I know the Summer holidays have only just begun but us mums just can’t rest for a moment. Yes, the uniform is bought, we have new water bottles and lunch bags and fully stocked pencil cases, we’re all ready for September! My children both love school and are excited about starting the new school year in September. Today I wanted to share a fun free chatterbox printable which is just perfect for going back to school. Free printable Back to School Chatterbox Now I call them a chatterbox but I know everyone calls them different things. I’ve also heard them…

What do you think of my Mother’s Day colouring page? My children just love colouring, especially after a busy day at school. As today is the first day of Spring I couldn’t wait to share my free colouring page with you. I love floral and hearts and this Mother’s Day colouring page is great all year round. Why not print it off for the children to give to their mother, grandmother or friend this Mother’s Day? Free Mother’s Day colouring page for kids Mother’s Day is celebrated here in the UK on the 31st March. We will be visiting my…

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching next week, we have been busy making handmade Valentine’s Day cards for family. I love that the children enjoy making cards and this year they have been raiding my stash of washi tape to decorate theirs. For the first time my daughter has bought an edible gift for the boy she likes in her class – why is my baby growing up so quickly!? I love the idea of giving out gifts to all their classmates so am sharing my free printable Valentine’s pencil topper activity. It is quick and easy to make and makes the…

We’ve always had loads of fun crafting around the theme of Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year (see some of our previous Chinese New Year crafts here). The children love learning about different festivals celebrated around the world and we’re lucky that living in London we are able to go and watch the wonderful Chinese New Year parade. This year it starts at 10am on Sunday 10th February, beginning with a colourful parade of floats and dragon dancing on Charing Cross Road. What is Chinese New Year? Chinese New Year is a Chinese festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on…

I hope you are all enjoying the break between Christmas and New Year. I think it’s my favourite time of the year. We are fortunate that having spent the last week visiting family and friends now we have nothing to do except relax. The children have been playing with their Christmas presents and I have been watching endless films and crafting. Printable New Year’s Resolutions for Kids With the end of the year approaching I wanted to make a simple free New Year printable for kids, to encourage them to reflect on the year. I’m sharing my New Year’s Reflect and Resolve…

I love making homemade Thank you cards. Every year my children receive lovely Christmas gifts and I want them to put some effort into the thank you cards they send. When they were younger we sent homemade photocards but now they can write their names (and my Year 2 son can write a lot more!) then I want them to make their own cards. This year I designed my own card. They are super simple but there is some scope for creativity! Simple Thank You cards for kids to make I added the words Thank You in large letters to…
