I am just about recovering from my son’s 8th birthday party today. He invited a bunch of his friends round to play console games. I planned everything so playing games online would be balanced by fun in the garden too. They are a confident bunch of boys and it was interesting watching them play together. They love their console games and my husband even rushed out yesterday to buy another DUAL SHOCK 4 controller, and went round to borrow another one from a friend! There’s nothing worse that having friends around but not enough controllers for everyone to play! Anyway,…

Photo by Cristina Gottardi on Unsplash Tuscany is an excellent choice for family holidays. There are a vast number of attractions here that make for a fun and relaxing break for the whole family. The villa rentals in Tuscany during holiday seasons are truly filled with families on holiday here. After all, there are mountains of things to see and do here. One can enjoy the adrenalin rush during water sports and water rafting. Children can get crafty at a top museum or learn to make ice cream. Families can explore Tuscany’s mountains together or enjoy swimming in the coastal areas. When it…

Do your children love PJ Masks? Little Sis is a huge fan, Gekko is her favourite, and she even had a PJ Masks theme for her last birthday party. Today I’m sharing some exciting news – PJ Masks Series 2 is set to hit TV screens on 28th March! Who are the PJ Masks? Just in case you haven’t heard of the show, PJ Masks follows the exciting adventures of Connor, Amaya and Greg. They attend school like everyone else but when something goes awry in the city, filled with curiosity and a sense of justice, they get ready for their mission. As…

It’s fair to say that things have been a little busy in our home recently. March is a crazy month with my son’s birthday, my birthday and Easter. Our house is currently sporting birthday cards, Easter eggs are hidden everywhere, and we’re in the midst of throwing my son a Minecraft party at home this weekend. I’m feeling a little stressed, especially as my daughter has been off school sick so I haven’t had as much time as I need to get organised. Stress can trigger acid reflux, and therefore heartburn and indigestion. This is something I also suffered with when…

This time of year is the perfect time to start thinking about Spring cleaning the house. The hours of daylight are noticeably longer, the days are warmer and I feel hopeful that Winter is over for another year. It’s also the perfect time to be thinking about deep cleaning your house, getting the Winter duvet dry cleaned and perhaps even washing the curtains. I love airing the house and have been taking every opportunity to open the windows and let the fresh air in, when the weather permits. Spring cleaning with the Laundryheap app Last week some friends came over…

Last week I took myself off to the V&A for the morning. I really wanted to go and see the Winnie the Pooh exhibition but unfortunately tickets had sold out for the day. My second choice was Ocean Liners which had just opened. I bought myself a ticket, with a hefty discount, thanks to my National Art Pass, and went right in. Ocean Liners: Speed and Style at the V&A I love visiting the V&A. They have some amazing exhibitions and I was really looking forward to seeing Ocean Liners. We went on a cruise a few years ago and…

How do you celebrate Easter? With the children being off school for 2 weeks (yippee!) we are looking forward to lots of family time. I’ve been busy arranging play dates and days out but I know we’ll have some down time at home too. Easter treats from the Disney Store I’m hoping the weather will be a little warmer so we can spend some time in the garden. My 6 year old is desperate to be outdoors and she loved playing in the snow yesterday. Fortunately my children love to be creative and craft so are always happy to spend…

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I love starting off each week by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week. I can’t believe I’m on Week 180 already! Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things I’m a Section Leader at Beavers and both my children attend our local group. My 8 year old is waiting for a place in Cubs as he’s been a Beaver for 2 years. He’s been working his way through all the badges and last week…

How do you celebrate Easter? We get together with family, enjoy delicious long lunches and eat chocolate eggs. This year our family are coming to us and I’ve been planning some family friendly Easter days out in the local area to help everyone walk off those big lunches. I love to put together an Easter crate for my children. I usually bring it out at the start of the Easter holidays as it’s packed with crafts and activities to keep them busy during the school holidays. My children love to be creative so hopefully I have filled it with things…
