Yesterday we took part in a Twitter viewing party with @SonyPicsAtHome for Spiderman Into The Spider-Verse which was released on DVD this week. Ok, so we may have missed the start of the party, but we still had fun watching at home, especially as we were sent a bundle of toys to play along with as we watched. Spiderman into the Spider-Verse Spiderman into the Spider-Verse is the first animated feature film in the Spider-man franchise. Teen Miles Morales becomes Spider-Man of his reality, crossing his path with five counterparts from another dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.…

As much as I love Easter I really don’t want to give my children endless chocolate eggs. A few years ago we started our own Easter tradition of giving a small gift alongside a chocolate egg. This way they get to pick a yummy edible treat but enjoy something that will last a little longer too. An ‘alternative Easter gift guide’ It seems we are not the only parents to think like this as we have received some lovely toys to tell you about which would make great alternative Easter gifts. Earlier this month we told you about the Beaker…

With the Easter holidays in full swing we have been having so much fun with playdates and trips to London. The weather has been pretty terrible so I was delighted to introduce my children to the new Beaker Creatures, an exciting new range of science-themed collectibles, from Learning Resources. They have recently landed, and come to Earth in search of science adventures. Beaker Creatures Reactor Pod After travelling through space in their Reactor Pods from their tiny distant planets, Beaker Creatures uniquely combine the thrill of collecting with hands-on science experiments, building skills and sparking curiosity! By dissolving the Reactor Pods,…

I don’t know about you, but I am counting down the days until I finish work for the Easter holidays. Although it hasn’t been a long time since half term it’s been busy and I can’t wait for a break from routine. The children seem to add more and more after school clubs every term which makes for a real juggle around homework and relaxing. We have some really fun plans for the Easter holidays. We will be catching up with friends, exploring London and hopefully having a little break by the seaside too. We will be celebrating Easter at…

Yesterday we were invited to a wonderful Poopsie Slime Surprise pop up event in London. Poopsie Slime Surprise is the latest collectable unboxing toy for kids and one both my children enjoy. The toys are fun to unbox with layers of surprises and slime! You can read our review of the Poopsie Poop Pack, the Poopsie Surprise Unicorn, Poopsie Sparkly Critters. I kept the event as a surprise and after a quick trip to the Lego Store in Leicester Square, we headed to the venue. Poopsie Slime Surprise VIP event I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a colourful event…

Did you celebrate International Women’s Day yesterday? The school I work in went all out for World Book Day but in comparison there was little mention of International Women’s Day (IWD) which was a shame. International Women’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world on March 8th and is a day when women are recognised for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. In honour of IWD I have a lovely picture book to giveaway today. The Girls by Lauren Ace When four little girls meet under an apple tree they…

This weekend we started crafting for Easter. I know it’s a few weeks away but we spotted some Duck Tape in our local craft shop which inspired our Easter squishies craft. Easter means different things to different people. My children are looking forward to a visit from the Easter bunny, but for me it’s a time of Spring and Spring cleaning. But before I share our latest tutorial on how to make a Duck Tape Easter Squishy, I wanted to tell you about a great competition from Duck Tape where you could be the Easter star of your class! Share…

The other day I told you all about the new limited edition Scruff-a-luv Blossom Bunnies. There are three limited-edition bunnies to collect – Lemon Drizzle, Posie or Peppermint. Each comes with a ball of fluff Blossom Bunny, a brush, hair accessory and a certificate of adoption. My 7 year old had so much fun unboxing her Blossom Bunny. You don’t know who you are going to open so it was a complete surprise for her.…
