    A few weeks ago we received a wonderful parcel containing Christmas crafts for kids from Baker Ross. Here’s what we thought of them. Both my children are interested in sewing so loved the Rudolph Reindeer Decoration Sewing Kits. There are 3 assorted colours and each kit includes pre-cut felt shapes, self-adhesive felt pieces, yarn, stuffing, wiggle-eyes, ribbon and plastic needle.     Last week I helped on a trip my son went on with his Year 2 class. We stopped to look at the colour of trees and the children loved picking up conkers and pine cones on the way. Autumn is a great season as I think it is easier for children to see the change in the weather, the leaves changing and falling, and there are so many opportunities to craft!     Now that my children are both at school full time I have found crafting is the perfect way for them to wind down after school. I love sitting at the table and talking with them about their day.     I’m always trying to get the children to keep their craft supplies tidy. So our latest craft has been raiding our recycling drawer to make a jungle-themed desk tidy. So this year we have been getting crafty for Father’s Day by decorating these fun key-ring blanks from Baker Ross.     My children really enjoy the stories of Elmer the Elephant. Elmer the Patchwork Elephant is a children’s picture book series by British author David McKee. We’ve amassed quite a collection of Elmer books and were delighted to discover that the first Elmer Day will be held on May 28th 2016.
