Getting crafty for Father’s Day

Getting crafty for Father's Day

What do you give the man who has everything on Father’s Day? My husband really doesn’t need or want much but the children wanted to make something for him. So this year we have been getting crafty for Father’s Day by decorating these fun key-ring blanks from Baker Ross. They sent us a pack of Father’s Day Wooden Key-rings which contained 8 assorted designs – Car, Guitar, Crown, Cup, T-shirt, Tie, Star & Circle. They are easy to decorate using acrylic paint, Deco pens or stickers.

I made the mistake of opening them in front of the children so they immediately scrabbled to pick their favourite designs.

They both chose a couple each and decorated them with pens and their own little messages.

I took the few that were leftover and painted them with white acrylic paint before the children decorated them. They make for a quick craft activity and the children have hidden them in their beds for now. I just hope they remember where they put them!

Some of the designs are quite specific and perfect for celebrating Father’s Day but I liked the fact that the star, crown and circle could easily be used for other occasions.

I think at £2.95 for a pack of 8, the Father’s Day Wooden Key-rings represents great value.
