BT digital video baby monitor 1000 review

My new favorite toy is the BT video baby monitor we were recently sent. Forget Mad Men and Alcatraz, the new show everyone is talking about is the Big Brother Show. In his cot bed at 7pm every night I thought he was putting his head down and sleeping. Thanks to the lovely new video monitor I find he is actually standing up, sitting down, lying down, standing up, sitting down, lying down until he eventually drops off! It’s definitely an eye opener.

BT digital video monitorThe Digital Video Baby Monitor 1000 is the latest in the range and gives you a video experience on a large 2.8 inch colour screen, switches automatically to night vision when it’s dark and has a huge range of up to 300m. The monitor has a temperature display for your baby’s room and offers 5 lullabies to relax and calm your baby.

Features include:

• Smooth video experience
• Automatically switches to night mode
• Large 2.8 inch screen
• Excellent sound quality & two-way talk
• Connect up to 4 cameras
• Calming & relaxing lullabies
• 50m indoor range, 300m outdoor range
• Check temperature on parent unit

We really love this monitor and will probably buy a second camera when Little Sis goes into her own room. The only feature that in our opinion is missing is there isn’t a torch and one would be really useful. Our older versions of the BT monitor do have a torch and it’s really handy. We also found the battery life isn’t great. The parent unit hasn’t been lasting through the night, despite being on charge all day, which is quite annoying when it beeps to warn you at 4 in the morning.

Overall a great monitor and I can’t imagine just relying on sound anymore when you have the option to see your child!
