My curious kids were recently sent a copy of the new magazine from Britannica. Do you remember the Britannica Encyclopedia from your childhood? First published over 250 years ago it was a staple in every classroom and library and a great source of information still available at brittanica.com. Britannica have recently launched a magazine for curious kids and we were delighted to be sent a copy to review.
Britannica Magazine review
The brand new Britannica Magazine is a new monthly non-fiction family magazine for all ages – from seven upwards. Britannica Magazine aims to help children become experts across a wide range of fascinating topics, from space and animals to inventions and weird but true facts, with awesome editorial, beautiful illustrations and jaw-dropping photography.
Every issue will cover a huge range of fascinating topics, for example: When will humans travel to Mars? What animals really rule the Earth? How many kilogrammes of poo are pooped by people every second? Curious young minds can explore astonishing lists in Listified, bizarrely connected facts in Factopia and the mind-bending Big Britannica Quiz. In between there’s a sprinkling of puzzles, hilarious jokes and a recipe or two – it’s a gigantic sweetshop for the mind.
There are 10 issues a year with bumper two-month issue published in July and December. Subscriptions to Britannica Magazine start from as little as £5.99 a month. Current offers include a free first issue if you sign up to the monthly plan and free books when you sign up for the annual or six-monthly plans. Sign up at www.britannicamagazine.co.uk
You can also use my code Jenny20 for 20% of a subscription (any price package). This code is valid until the end of May.
The magazine has been read by the whole family, there really is something of interest for everyone. Little Sis especially loved the jokes and has been sharing them with everyone she meets! She loves to learn new things so this is a great magazine for her. Read on for your chance to win 1 of 5 copies of Britannica Magazine!
