Big Nate app

Big Brother surprises me with his grasp of technology, already completely au fait with using our iPhones and iPads. We love discovering new apps for him to use and were excited to hear that one of his favourites, Peekaboo Barn, has been decorated Peekaboo Barn for the holidays – bunnies in beanies, cows in hats and horses in knee socks! This new, holiday version is a free update inside Peekaboo Barn, just upgrade to the latest version to get it. The app will revert to its “regular” self on January 6th so you have a couple of days left to enjoy it!

We’ve recently come across the Big Nate iPad app, based on an American comic strip written and illustrated by Lincoln Peirce. In the super-special Big Nate comic book, kids can build their own comics as well as check out exclusive drawings and comics from Big Nate creator, Lincoln Peirce.

The Big Nate app made its appearance just in time for the holidays. Kids ages 8-12 (and beyond!) will enjoy making their own comic strip featuring beloved characters from Big Nate. They’ll be able to get started with templates, or create their own from scratch. They can customize their strip with hundreds of options to choose from. If that’s not enough the app, released as a joint venture with HarperCollins, also features new, exclusive comics from Big Nate creator, Lincoln Peirce.
