Back to work and getting stuff done

Posted on September 13, 2018July 18, 2024 by jenny

I’ve been a little quite lately, not just because my children are back to school, but because I’ve gone back to work too. I have a lovely job in a secondary school which fits (just about) round my children and their school day. My new job is completely different to my old one. I used to work in a museum and got to use my History degree every day. My new job means I’m on my feet all day, helping children who may need additional help. It doesn’t use any of my old skills, so I’m learning plenty of new ones.

Back to work and getting stuff done

I admit I enjoyed being a self employed blogger and will continue to do that in my evenings and spare time. It was definitely time for a new challenge though and going back to work has been that. The downside is I now have a lot less time to do the food shopping, housework and all those jobs I used to fit around my day.

Tomorrow is Pay Day for me and I absolutely love knowing I’m going to be paid the same amount each month. It makes it so much easier to save money and afford everything the children seem to need. It’s only the second week of term but already we’ve had a letter about a school trip to the Harry Potter Studios!

I have a lot less time so I need to be more efficient. I’ve been on the look out for apps and websites to help me with my online shopping. I noticed that a lot of people at work use apps for their weekly food shops. It’s so handy to sit in the staff room and add items to my shopping list. Getting the weekly food shop delivered was my top priority but now that’s been set up I’ve been looking for other things to save me time.

Have you heard of Sello? You can discover fresh products, connect with new merchants and find the hottest discount codes with the Sello marketplace. Explore hundreds of online coupons and save on brand-new products from independent retailers. It launches soon and sounds like just the kind of place I like to use to save myself money.

I’m hoping that by being more efficient, shopping online and saving money I can claw back some time for myself. I’m finding it pretty tiring adjusting to going out to work every day. There are so many ways to save time and money and I can’t wait to discover more ways to do this.

A change if pace work wise but I’m sure that you are more than up for the challenge.

This sounds like a lovely new role – I’m intrigued to check out Sello!
