Starting solids: a big step for little ones Introducing solid foods is an exciting and sometimes overwhelming milestone. As babies transition from milk to solids, parents often feel the pressure to provide meals that are not only safe but also nourishing and diverse. Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. Five Happy Things {Week 32/2025} My daughter and I had a day in London where we visited the Jellycat concession in Selfridges. We both love Jellycat and I bought Amuseables Ginger, which I’ve been after for a while. We didn’t manage to book tickets for the Fish and Chips by Jellycat at Selfridges…

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. There has been plenty of seasonal stitching though, including some pretty florals. What I made in July 2025 I finished my Pretty Fabrics and Trims huswif finally. It felt so good making this. I enjoyed embroidering the cover, making the EPP hexies and being brave and trying something new. I’ve been using it quite a lot which is good, because often I’ll stitch a hoop and don’t really display them. You can read a longer post…
