At the weekend we headed to the South Bank for Vintage @Southbank. We were lucky enough to go last year when it was at Goodwood and knew to head straight for the Vintage High Street and Vintage Marketplace. There were lots of goodies to look at, from clothes to accessories to furniture. I visited the Cath Kidston pop up shop and bought a new fabric patch to add to Edward’s badge blanket. It’s an understatement to say that Edward loves water. Come rain or shine he’s literally scratching to get out the back door to his water table (best investment ever!). Since he’s had the table he’s experimented with all kinds of kitchen utensils so he can play with the water; from plastic cups to a bucket and spade. We were kindly offered the opportunity to try three colourful nesting sailboats from BigJigs. They can be used in the bath tub, paddling pool or water table providing constant water time fun. As much as I love my iPhone I also love being able to pimp the outisde. I’ve gone through a fair few since I bought my first iPhone in 2007, although always stuck with either Cath Kidston or recently, Orla Kiely, covers. Remember the luscious lacquered shell which didn’t last long as I upgraded and it didn’t fit the later iPhone model. One of the activities on our list of things to do this summer was go to a City Farm. Fortunately last week Edward and I were invited down to Hackney City Farm to have a look around and hear about an exciting new website where you can be your own farmer. We enjoyed our visit and Edward met pigs, sheep, goats, a donkey and lots of geese and chickens for the first time. A couple of months ago I was tweeting about how frustrated I was with the stroller we were using. It was a wet and windy day and the flimsy rain cover had ripped, only the second time we had used it. I have a growing collection of fab vintage games which I pick up whenever I see them. Whilst on holiday I had to limit myself to what we could fit in the car boot. I was recently asked if I would like to try some DYLON fabric dyes and I umm-ed and ahh-ed for a few minutes, quickly racking my brain just how I could use them.
