Posted on April 13, 2013 by jenny

A friend told me about the William Morris Gallery and Lloyd Park in Walthamstow, not far from us. Perfect (i.e. dry) weather was forecast this morning so we headed there. The building was beautiful and behind was a hidden gem, a huge public park with formal gardens, a moat, children’s park, cafe and much more….

King of his castle

Posted on April 11, 2013June 26, 2014 by jenny

It’s no surprise that I’m spending most of my time thinking about our new house. We are waiting (impatiently!) to hear that we’ve exchanged contracts and fingers crossed that will happen any day. This time round we’re paying a removal firm to pack and move us. With two small people it’s pretty impossible to concentrate…

The children were sent a copy of Woolly & Tig First Day on DVD to watch. They are big fans of Woolly & Tig on cBeebies so I knew they would enjoy the DVD. If you haven’t seen Woolly & Tig before then Tig is a 3 year old girl and Woolly is her toy…

A tidy bedroom (fingers crossed!)

Posted on April 7, 2013May 11, 2014 by jenny

One of the things I am most excited about in moving house is the fact both children will have equal-sized bedrooms. That might sound silly but the majority of the houses we saw had two decent sized bedrooms and a box room. Fortunately our new house is quite modern so the rooms are all a…
