My daughter loves dogs but it’s just not practical to get a real one at the moment. I was hoping that she might enjoy the new Peppy Pups plush toy dog from Flair. There are a couple of different dogs in the range, including a cute Pug and Dalmatian. We received the Peppy Pups Pug, a very cute little plush dog, complete with collar and lead. This is a vey sweet toy for children aged 3 and over, and the perfect pet for children who keep asking for their very own puppy! Peppy Pups Peppy Pups loves to run, jump…

As a stay at home mum I have plenty of free time to help at my children’s school. This is something I love to do. Every week I listen to children read for a couple of hours and I’ve helped on a few school trips too. Last term I was lucky to visit Bhaktivedanta Manor with my son and his year group. Their topic was religion and we had previously visited the local Church of England Church. A visit to Bhaktivedanta Manor Bhaktivedanta Manor is a Gaudiya Vaishnava temple, just outside Watford. The Manor is owned and run by the International Society for…

I love this time of year. Although it is unseasonably cold I know that warmer weather is on the way. Our weekends are packed with adventures and the children love to be able to take their bikes and scooters out with them. The Glider Deluxe is part of a wider range of Scooters and Balance bikes from Yvolution and we were sent one to try out. My 7 year old loves his bike but my 5 year old daughter is still very much a scooter girl. She scoots every day to school, as well as to the sweetie shop and…

Every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. I’ve subscribed since it first came out and have had a drawer full of unopened kits – but no more! I’ve been making more time for grown up crafting and I love to make the kits and hopefully try something new. I skipped the March issue as it contained a loom kit, the same as in issue 58 (and made here). I gave the kit to my sister so hopefully she has made something cute to hang up in her house. Issue 78 of Mollie Makes came with an…

We had some amazing adventures over the Easter holidays. We stayed at home this year but had lots of trips out planned – mainly as my children just have so much energy! We went into London quite a lot, enjoying a trip to the opera and a Star Wars exhibition as well as local days out at the park and Lido. With some big days out planned there was really only one way to start each day, and that was with a good breakfast, such as our favourite BEAR Alphabites. Have you noticed they’ve had a bit of a makeover…

April is going so quickly but the longer days and warmer weather means we spend a lot longer outdoors. This weekend we stayed local because we laid a new floor in my son’s bedroom. Thankfully the children were happy to play outside, especially when they received some special happy mail. Outdoor play is really important for the whole family. Fresh air and exercise always equals a good nights sleep for everyone and my children know they have to play outside for at least 30 minutes if they want to earn their pocket money! Our little garden is child-friendly. As well…
