Education Quizzes for kids at home and school

I admit to having a mini fist pump when I picked up my son from school on Friday. He had endured a week of end of KS1 assessment, otherwise known as SATs. For some reason his school decided to call they daily tests ‘quiz booklets’ to downplay their significance. Unfortunately, sitting in silence with desks apart did nothing to suggest that these were fun quiz booklets and my son resolutely called them SATs all week.

I’m all for doing homework but I think a week of tests are totally un-necessary in Year 2. School should be fun and it really hasn’t been for them this week.  Both my children enjoy learning and we use a variety of things at home to give them extra help. We’ve found Education Quizzes to be really helpful. It’s designed to help children to be successful at school and is perfect for all ages from KS1, KS2, 11-Plus, KS3 to GCSE.

The quizzes are written by teachers so I know that whilst my children are having fun they are also learning. Thankfully they love using my laptop and the site is perfect when they want a bit of downtime. I’ve become really familiar with the KS1 section of quizzes for children.

I know a little about the Maths and English at school through the weekly homework but I’ve found the site really useful for learning a little more about the curriculum. It definitely makes life a little more interesting if I ask my children what they’ve been learning at school if I have a bit of insider information!

There is a monthly subscription to use Education Quizzes which costs just £9.95 and can be cancelled at any time. The site can be used by parents and children at home, but it is also possible for schools to purchase subscription and the site used as part of the curriculum in school.
